Department of Human Services State

DIAL (Disability Information & Access Line) National, General The Disability Information and Access Line (DIAL) helps people with disabilities get connected to information about local community resources that support independent living. Launched in 2021 to help people with disabilities access COVID-19 vaccinations, DIAL also provides information about essential services such as transportation, housing support, disability rights, and more.

Disability Education and Advocacy Network Advocacy, State, Self-Advocacy Disability Education and Advocacy Network (DEAN) is a cross-disability organization led by disabled people who are experts in the fields of inclusive disability education and advocacy.

Disability Rights Pennsylvania Abuse & Personal Safety, State protects and advocates for rights of people with disabilities so that they may live the lives they choose, free from abuse, neglect, discrimination, and segregation.

Disability Social History Project National

Early Intervention Services State Early Intervention supports and services are designed to meet the developmental needs of children with a disability as well as the needs of the family related to enhancing the child’s development

Education Law Center Advocacy, Topic works to ensure access to a quality public education for all children in Pennsylvania, advocating on behalf of the most vulnerable students — children living in poverty, children of color, children in the foster care and juvenile justice systems, children with disabilities, English Language Learners, LGBTQ students, and children experiencing homelessness.

Embracing Inclusion: Prioritizing Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender/Queer (or Questioning)/Intersex/Asexual/+ (LGBTQIA+) Inclusion for People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Sexuality ( Positive Approaches Journal , May 2021)

Employment First Data Dashboard State, Topic, Employment Pennsylvania's Employment First Data Dashboard can be used to track the progress of workforce development programs and competitive integrated employment for Pennsylvanians with disabilities. The Commonwealth also seeks to increase awareness of the statewide successes and challenges related to the competitive integrated employment of individuals with disabilities.

Empowered Voices State, Self-Advocacy The group is made up of self-advocates from around the Pittsburgh area. Driven by the voices and interests of the members, participants meet for opportunities to learn new things, have fun, and meet new people.

Finally Home Housing Toolkit Housing User-friendly resources, information and tools to provide a structure for you to support a person with a disability to explore the many options of homes, places, and ways to live in their own home.

Find My Ride Topic, Transportation Pennsylvania-based service designed to help anyone identify and evaluate options to meet their transportation needs. Currently, FindMyRidePA is available in seven counties (Adams, Cambria, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lebanon and York)

Home and Community Based Waiver Programs Topic, Community Involvement & Community Living HCBS provides for supports and services beyond those covered by the Medical Assistance (also referred to as Medicaid) program that enable a person to remain in a community setting rather than being admitted to a Long Term Care Facility.


Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania Housing The Housing Alliance is a statewide coalition working to provide leadership and a common voice for policies, practices, and resources to ensure that all Pennsylvanians, especially those with low incomes, have access to safe, decent and affordable homes. The organization promotes common-sense solutions to balance Pennsylvania’s housing market and increase the supply of safe, decent homes for low-income people.

HUNE Hispanos Unidos para Niños Excepcionales State provides free bilingual English and Spanish training, technical assistance and individual assistance to parents of infants, toddlers, children, and youth with disabilities and to professionals who work with children.
