Adults with autism are at an increased risk of involvement in the criminal justice system. It is not necessarily because of criminal intent, but often due to core deficits in communication, social understanding, and executive functioning. This training explores how challenges such as difficulty interpreting social cues, understanding boundaries, managing impulsivity, and communicating effectively with authority figures can lead to misunderstandings, escalation and unintentional legal violations.
