What is the Council?
The Pennsylvania Developmental Disabilities Council (PADDC) includes people with disabilities, family members, advocates, and state department representatives who work to create favorable conditions for people with developmental disabilities and their families in the Commonwealth.
What is involved in being a Council or Committee member?
Council and Committee members are important and are expected to:
- Attend regular Council meetings.
- Participate in discussions, assist in planning, learn about our grant projects, and participate in funding decisions.
- Share their expertise, knowledge, and experiences related to the Council’s goals.
09/30/2025 – We currently have Council membership openings for people with developmental disabilities who live now, or used to live, in a state institution or Intermediate Care Facility (ICF). Individuals can nominate themselves or be nominated by another person. Applications are due by December 1, 2025. If you need assistance completing the form, call us at 1-877-685-4452.
