COURSE DESCRIPTION
Person-Directed Supports and Services are about a fundamental shift in power from professionals to the person using support. Operationalizing this shift often requires having someone who can help with the planning and coordinating of paid and unpaid, formal and informal support. This person is the Support Broker. This training provides prospective support brokers with information and skill development needed to support people using Person-Directed Supports and Services in Pennsylvania.*
*Please note, in order to receive Support Broker Certification an additional 1/2 day webinar on Supporting Employers must be completed in addition to this classroom training. The date for this webinar will be available shortly.
