The National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD) with support from Anthem, is kicking off its new Self-Advocacy Discussion Series, and all are welcome! The Self-Advocacy Discussion Series will be led by Eric Stoker, Information Specialist for the Utah DD Council, NACDD Board Member, Chair of the NACDD Self-Advocacy Committee (SAC), NACDD Champions of Equality Award winner and member of the Self-Advocacy Leadership Circle.

The purpose of this new series, is to provide an opportunity for advocates to speak on topics that they want to talk about. The Discussion Series will be led by advocates and include topics chosen by people with I/DD and their families. After each meeting, participants will receive a follow-up email with resources and information to learn about, advocate for and act upon issues that are important to them. The first Self-Advocacy Discussion Series will be held on September 17, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern. A Zoom link will be sent in a separate email before the meeting.
