DESCRIPTION:We want to hear from you!\nThe Pennsylvania Developmental Disabilities Council\, in coordination with Disability Rights Pennsylvania and the Institute on Disabilities at Temple University need your input about the issues that matter most to Pennsylvanians with disabilities and their families. \nHow can we improve supports\, services\, your community\, advocacy\, training\, and rights for people with disabilities and their families? \nSpecifically\, we would like to hear your ideas about: \n\nDisability and social issues we should pursue and provide information/education on to better support people with disabilities and their families\nHow we can ensure that civil and human rights of people with disabilities are protected\nTraining opportunities we should make available for people with disabilities and family members\, for people who provide supports\, and the general community\nResearch needed in Pennsylvania to guide policy\, improve services\, supports\, systems and communities\, and ensure civil and human rights\n\nAlthough our organizations do not provide direct services\, we work statewide to improve disability services and social systems\, conduct needed research\, assist with collaboration and networking\, disseminate information\, provide training and technical assistance\, advocate for positive social change\, and work to ensure civil rights to empower\, increase knowledge and improve the lives of people with disabilities in Pennsylvania. \nPlease attend one of the PUBLIC FORUMS listed on the back of this notice or send your written comments.
