The title of her Presentation is “See Me\, See My Future”. As a community partner and person with lived experience in poverty\, addiction recovery and disability\, she knows full well what it is to be underestimated and unseen; yet she also knows what it looks like to keep going. Through this presentation she desires to lift the power of a strong vision and high expectations so that all can envision life on their terms and challenge us all to work collaboratively to reduce and eliminate barriers towards an accessible\, inclusive\, and equitable future.

SUMMARY:2023 Direct Care Worker Conference - Making a Difference Together
DESCRIPTION:Direct Care Workers (DCWs) provide vital services that allow people with disabilities and older adults to remain in their homes and communities. This DCW conference provides skills training on multiple topics that are relevant to this work with engaging sessions to encourage DCWs for the important and necessary work that they do. The conference\, including meals and an overnight accommodation at the Hershey Lodge on Friday\, April 21 is offered at no charge to DCWs. The conference is sponsored by the Center for Independent Living of Central PA (CILCP) with grant funds from the PA Department of Labor and Industry.
