Our Everyday Kids, Every Day Lives: A Vision for Pennsylvania's Children project is in need of your help. Please circulate the information below to parents of preschool age children in Pennsylvania. There is an online survey and it is also available as a paper/pencil survey.
Dear Colleague,
We are in the process of completing a project on Everyday Kids, Everyday Lives: A Vision for Pennsylvania's Children. We are now in the final stage of developing a scale to measure the Everyday Kids, Everyday Lives themes and we would like to invite parents of preschool children in your program to complete the scale. In order to make this as easy as possible, parents of preschool children can share their thoughts by completing a brief online survey at:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ParentandChildScale
The scale takes about 10 -- 15 minutes to complete. We are asking programs like yours to make parents of preschool children aware of this opportunity to have their voices heard. For your convenience, you can obtain a short explanation you can use to let parents know about this project at
http://www.smriusa.com/docs/ParentChild_ltr_parent.pdf
If you have questions about the survey, please email Faye Acuff, who is working with us on this project, at facuff@smriusa.com . You can also reach us by phone at 800-824-1174.
If you know of parents of preschool children who need a paper copy of the survey, please let us know and we will send you as many as you need. We will also include self-addressed, stamped envelopes so parents can return the completed surveys free of charge. We appreciate your help in this process. The information we receive from the surveys will help countless children and their families.
Sincerely, Carol Trivette, PhD and Carl Dunst, PhD
