SDHP is kicking off the first meeting of the Pennsylvania Housing Choice Coalition!

The Pennsylvania Housing Choice Coalition will:
- Be a forum to engage, and facilitate networking and coordination between a variety of cross disability advocacy groups and other housing stakeholders.
- Identify barriers and potential solutions to statewide expansion of separate housing and services for people with disabilities.
- Engage in outreach and community awareness activities to create an advocacy movement to support people with developmental disabilities to choose and control their home and determine the services they need and want, separate from each other, both in the government and generic public sectors.
- Determine how to best support the work of the Council’s Housing Demonstration grant projects.
- Guide the advocacy project to develop educational resources and facilitate trainings, as the Coalition determines are relevant and needed, to support expansion of separate housing and services for people with disabilities statewide.
